I was ready to buy the PPV but I couldn't order through DirecTV's website? Very odd. Oh well, at least the stream is watchable.

What a load of sh!t, especially the 47-47. Diaz won 2, 3, and 5.

Also, fvck anyone who says they like the sport but doesn't like Nate Diaz. He's an awesome fighter and one of the toughest badasses in the promotion.

Great final fight. So many quick fights leading up to that in general the night was trashed. Not surprised conor won, through the first and most of the second it looked like he was a moment from putting the match away. Diaz had a good comeback one they were both expended but I don't think that was enough to overcome what was done to him.

When Diaz had Conor gassing out, instead of going for a simple leg take down, Diaz just clinched and pushed Conor to the cage to allow him rest. That's jobbing.

all judges scored R2 to McGregor

wonder how much commentary bias Rogan created for Diaz in R2

I had Conor winning 1-2-4.

I could see that, but only because McGregor scored a knockdown in round 2. I would have been okay with an even 9-9. Diaz easily took 3 and took 5 at the end.

I will say Conor fought a lot smarter than I thought. Had he jumped to follow up those knockdowns on the ground, Diaz would have dominated there. He wasn't stunned from the shots as much as most. I think the leg kicks caused those more than the shot power.

I said he is a smarter fighter and he showed it, he pretty much fought exactly how I called it in another post. I don't quite get the 10-8 score for Diaz in the 3rd from one judge, when Conor didn't get a 10-8 and knocked Diaz down twice. Rounds 3-5 to Diaz for sure, the judges were spot on to what I felt, except the 10-8 round.

Well if you go by the current scoring system, then Conor won it, winning rounds 1,2 and 4, while Nate won rounds 3 and 5.

If you have somewhat more though use of the possible scores in judging then the scores might look like this .....

Conor Nate
---10------8
---10------9
----8------10
---10------9
----9------10

Which still gives the win to Conor, 47-46.

Brent Okamoto tweets - UFC was 3rd highest PPV, behind UFC 196 (McGregor vs. Diaz 1) and UFC 100. Gate 5th highest, $7.7m.

Therefore...they "got paid".

Fwiw, I suspect the UFC made more money with these guys banking a huge 202 card than if they were combined on the 200 card, making an already great card moderately better.

I'd imagine Glover and Rumble for PPV points. McGregor Diaz 3 may be bigger, depending on what happens between then and now.

I read yesterday that White is adamant there will be no 3rd fight between Diaz and McGregor no matter what. That of course can change.

White also was adamant there was no UFC sale until the UFC announced it. There won't be one right away, but after McGregor knocks out Aldo again and Diaz handles some mid card fighter at 155, they will be back at it again. Diaz isn't the type of guy to just keep quiet about not getting a rematch like Conor did right away. He is going to continue to talk shit until he gets his fight or the UFC cancels his contract (and he won't stop talking shit, it will just be on podcasts and not after UFC events).

White just needs Conor to defend his belt. Once he does that or vacates and fights Alvarez for the 155. Then maybe Nate. However Conor may go box may weather for 30 mill so who knows.
