Dang I got a new UPS driver last week and he is a lot slower than the old one. The old one would have packages here by noon at the latest. The earliest the new one gets here is around 4:30 looks like I wont get to play it till I get off work.

I heard they were going to add Ken Shamrock to the characters, but he would only have the ability to "talk smack", "block", "take damage," and talk more smack. He'd also have a button to "tell his corner to throw in the towel for him." And then after he lost, he would talk smack some more. I think they should have left him in because it would have been the most realistic character, but I guess it wouldn't be much fun playing him because you'd always lose.

One of my first exposures to UFC was watching KS take a foot to the side of his head, go limp, and collapse. Can't remember who the other fighter was. I've tried finding the footage on YT, but no luck.
You must have started watching MMA after the turn of the century. Because back in the early to mid- 90's he was one of the best in the sport. The draw in the 2nd fight, against the greatest fighter of the era i.e. Gracie, many watching, including myself, felt he narrowly won based on doing more physical damage. He KO'd or submitted a bunch of cats back then as well.Originally posted by: JackBurton

He stayed in the game too long, that's all. Has happened to many fighters, with some it is the ego, others just have the fighting spirit, but their body can't cash the checks anymore. Shamrock's problem is likely both.
Anywho, I'll rent this soon.

For those that have the full game, is there a create a fighter mode? And if so, how does it work? Are there stats you upgrade, etc...

When you are down on your back, how do you get up?
Also, every time i go to take someone down, I end up on my back, is it my strength is not high enough to push them down on their back?

Hmm...I had no intention of even playing the demo but after reading everyone's reviews (and I'm a fan of UFC) I'll try out the demo. I generally hate most boxing games, and now fighting games, so we'll see.

After you learn the moves and how to use them somewhat effeciently, the game becomes much more enjoyable. Button mashing will get you nwhere but knocked out or into a submission.
i do however dislike how you can kick a guy upside the head, 4-5 times. and have them still standing.(just a minor thing)
the game is solid and well worth it.
