I’m surprised there hasn’t been more discussion on the MMA sites regarding what Anderson Silva will do if Machida wins at UFC 173. Will Silva move up to LHW, maybe do a super fight with Jones?

Probably because it'll be another year before he gets to fight again, and even then, will he be the same guy? Probably not. He needs to destroy Weidman before he'd be considered "worthy" of moving up divisions to fight Jones. It's not a superfight if he isn't the champ at his own division.

If that happened, then this would be at least 2-3 years out. I doubt Jones is still champ by then.

You asked a question, I answered it. Who says Weidman will even still be the champ when Andy returns. There's a whole lot of "if's", but one certainty is he wants and is planning on fighting again. He won't be fighting Jones any time soon, but there's nothing to say he can't be successful at 205 after this either.

Then you agree with my original "WTF", per your last sentence I'm aware of the fact he wants to fight again, but talking about an "epic superfight" is as wishful thinking as the Cowboys winning the SB this coming year.

yah i rarely go there at all anymore. used to read the forums in 2007 and 2008 but have rarely gone back there since then. seems their articles also went way downhill.

what websites do you read?

right now i mostly just read mma mania and sometimes fight opinion. i used to read middleeasy quite a bit but i stopped going there instantly when they changedtheir site. seems they did some tweaking since then. maybe i will start reading there again. cage potato is probably the site i should be reading although for some reason i have never really started to read there. stopped going to bleacher report a short while ago although they really are not that great. actually terrible considering the bs they put in their articles. they are just political hacks who throw themselves into biases and rants. the only real worthwhile read there at bleacher report is slack. think he started writing at fightland. the thing i like about bleacher report although is that they do original articles and not just news and such.

i haven't read any MMA sites for a while. i usually just watch the news or if its in a news site. Yeah i hit bleacher report every now and then.

i will have ot check out MMA mania.


edit: oh yeah. also read reddites MMA site. It's better then sherdog and sometimes some good conversations go on.

Anyone watch Curran-Strauss III last night on Bellator? Pretty decent fight, can't believe that Strauss tripped up and allowed Curran to choke him out. He had that fight sewed up. Surprised the hell out if me because it didn't look like Curran had the choke sunk in tight until about :15 left in the fight, then he turned slightly and sunk it in. Good fight, hope to see them do it again.

Edit: i would really like to see both of these guys in the UFC. Jose Aldo would be fun to watch fighting either of these guys.

Someone here (Ninja or Tallbill maybe?) directed me there years back, so I could observe shertards in their natural habitat i.e. f2.

I ended up joining because the training forums are good, particularly the grappling forum. You won't miss out on the lulz in them either. The coleslaw meme, and its origins, is epic stuff.

That was a great fight followed up by great sportsmanship.

I want to see Holly Holm get her six figure contract and move to the UFC, so she can go to work on Queen Rousey.
There's no weight class difference to stop the match since they are both 135.

Last night I recorded some fights on AXS TV. Just took a look at it, after about 30 seconds I deleted it. It was 2 on 2 fighting, they had an obstacle course, and head gear on. Stupid fucking rules, it was the dumbest fucking type of MMA event I have ever seen, it was called Hip show.
