But should Holm even want to take it right now or hold out? Let's be real, if they wait, Ronda gets a bounce back win and Holm gets a title defense, it will be a bigger fight. The streaming footage from inside fighters locker rooms is still a pretty new development for the UFC. UFC officials told MMAjunkie that the organization first tried it at UFC 189, when McGregor fought Chad Mendes, and continued it for this event, offering fans a chance to view both locker rooms on the UFCs website throughout the night.
If that figure is right its best they capitalize on it. No guarantee Holm beats Tate. Holm hasn't really looked great against anyone in the UFC except Rousey. And I think everyone kinda thinks the blueprint has now been written on Rousey. Might as well match them up again now. Fighters get great money, and the UFC gets a huge PPV. Thats all money in the bank. Either one of them loses in the interim and everything gets flushed down the toilet.
While that is true, the loser in the rematch had no career other than jobber. If Ronda is destroyed again, she is done. If Holm loses, she is equally done.
And who cares if Holm loses before then? Forcing a rematch is just silly. Ronda's hype train will be pumped up again regardless of who her opponent is. Also, if Holm loses, she can fight Ronda who is on the way up. An automatic title shot after getting destroyed is ridiculous.
Similarly with Aldo, though his defeat was a perfect punch kind of situation. He didn't look to have been dominated 2 rounds before that punch came.

I think Conduit got robbed. Well, may not robbed...but he was definitely hosed. He should have had at least 3 rounds (1, 3, 4), and 5 was a toss up. Even Lawler's corner kinda felt it by saying he needed 4, 5, and one of the first things Lawler said was they could do it again. I guess I don't put much stock in perceived power shots vs overall command if the power can't hurt the opponent. Lawler actually seemed hurt more in the fight.

Looking forward to the mcgregor dos anjos match. Finally we'll see if the little leprechaun is actually is a great fighter. Personally I think mcgregor is going in as a chicken and coming out as scrambled eggs.
He must see something in RDA that he can exploit, but it seems like a big mistake. RDA looks like a world beater right now, and he's been active unlike Aldo. I expected Conor to talk trash for awhile to build it up, but if he loses he probably wont get another shot at 155 unless he vacates 145. Seems risky, but you gotta give him props for going for it.
People will say he's proven everyone wrong so far and that's what he does. But I think you can't lose respect for the mountain one is climbing and as a result climb it too fast. Dos Anjos and 155 is a huge mountain. That said, if McGregor legitimately wins, he's mma royalty, and not just in the marketing sense, but in the real sense (which granted, many think he is already.)
