If they don't pull a Brock and have him fighting prime time fights, he should do fine. Brock's biggest problem was being a star before he entered the UFC. They had to throw him to the wolves and not give him some easier ring time to acclimate. I think, given some undercard fights against some aging guys, CM Punk should be fine. He may never make it as a champion, but he should be okay.

I know Anderson silva fought at light hw while he was middleweight champ but never fought for the belt.

ufc has not allowed people to hold 2 belts up ti this point. Dana when asked said Conor has done everything he said he was going to do up to this point and if he fights 4 times a year he can have both belts.

Last person to fight for two belts was BJ Penn when he lost to GSP, BJ was the LW champ and the WW belt was up for grabs. No one has since even fought for two belts since. Also sadly, BJ has announced he is coming out of retirement to fight Dennis Siver and wants to make a run at the 145 belt... Sigh.

I saw this. I was kind of looking forward to the rematch. Hopefully, this fight won't be terrible. But short notice heavy weight? This is going to be a gassed hug fest after the first. =(

I dont blame him. Stipe is a tough matchup for everyone, and he probably thought he needed more time to prep for it. I dont buy the injury as a reason for pulling out, because while explaining why he cant fight he also says he would fight if it was Cain.

Rumble Vs Bader, JESUS that guy has power. I know every fighter in the UFC would kill me quick in a fight. But Johnson's on a whole other level. I HOPE we get to see Jones Vs him before the years up. That's probably the last fight at LHW I really would be excited to see. Sucks for Bader, he deserved a title shot a few fights ago. After the other night he might as well give up lol.
