I watched Eddie fight many times before coming to the UFC. When it did happen, I figured he would be a champion. I then watched him in the UFC and he would be hit or miss, so I changed my opinion. Then last night he showed up, he fought perfectly, but this is the UFC, so I don't know if he will hold the belt very long.
TUF Finale 23 tonight, including Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Claudia Gadelha, which should be an incredible fight.
Gadelha was robbed imo. She dominated the first two rounds, and I thought she won a close third round. She certainly lost the fourth and fifth rounds. However, she lost on the scorecards 48-45, 48-46, 48-46. Even if she lost the close third round, there's no way she would have lost 4 and 5 by a score of 10-8 each, without having gotten a 10-8 or two herself in the first couple rounds. She rocked and dominated Joanna but was never really rocked herself, just took a lot of shots in the last two when she was gassed..I suppose this is the shit that happens when they keep insisting the big fights be in Nevada.
If he is on, I don't think anyone other than maybe RDA could take it from him. Who else in that division is really championship level? Maybe Diaz?
