LOL Jones trolled DC telling him he doesn't respect him at all and for him to go cry in a bucket of chicken. I don't see DC beating him in the rematch, not sure how he'd take the loss.

smoke weed (what is that a ticketable offense, not even a misdemeanor?), banned for 5 years

felony hit and run causing injury, no problem.

Espn trying to re-hero-ize Rousey in upcoming Espn The Magazine cover article.

"She's authentic, speaks her mind, doesn't back down, is vulnerable"...

Excerpt read from the article:

Those criticisms have come and they will continue to come.
Ronda Rousey doesn't need a man to fight her battles.
She can kick anyone's ass.
She makes her own money, more even than the male UFC fighters,
and they don't complain because her star power makes them more money.
So she won't retire undefeated
or bring down the boys club with a single devastating armbar.
But we often oversimplify the way history is written -
there is no one person who changes everything.
It's going to take a while for Rousey to shake this loss off.
She's still apologizing to everyone.
Her face feels loose, her dog wimpers every time she tries to talk about it,
but she opened up the door on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
She womaned up.
That's how you fight.
"I always think I can lose all of them", she said.
"I'm the only one that's scared when I walk in there.
I'm always fucking scared."
But will she fight again?
"Of course. What else am I going to fucking do?"

Raw!

He's making it harder on himself for the cut to 205, although it would be interesting to see him and Gus in heavyweight.

Ugh... The second to the last episode of TUF was pretty shit considering who I thought was the best overall fighter had a visa issue and had to pull out.

And I doubt Jones will have much of a hard time cutting. He is not on a competition cycle right now and looks to just be bulking up in muscle and will lose a good amount during training camp.

Honestly I am wondering if he can even make the cut to 205 anymore. He belongs in the heavyweight division anyways. I have long been waiting for Cain to just railroad his ass back to the lightheavyweight division once he moved up, but now I want Jon Jones to bring some more competition to the heavyweight division, as he will bring some elements of the fightcraft that are not as present in the heavyweight division. I wanna see a heavyweight arms race.

yeah he has gotten huge.

His legs still seem to be toothpicks, and that is where he needs to most gain the most. He did gain some nice abs however. He should also look to gain some in his neck and back.

Legs are the heaviest part of the body. If you're implying he should put bulk on his upper legs ( glutes, hamstrings ) then he wouldn't make 205.

Size doesn't mean strength. His legs are deceptively absolutely strong. Not to mention the fact that he's 6'4 and as you know, the longer your limb the less big it looks because the muscle is more spread out. Add to the fact that you can't really increase the size of your calves, and if he's wearing long shorts you can't see the top part of the leg hence judging his legs just solely on the calves.

As long as he's deadlifting and squatting but not too much volume which would be more hypertrophy, he would be getting more power and strength which is good.

I still think he might've put on too much muscle and he won't have as much cardio as he did before. Hopefully he does so much cardio that this isn't a factor and he retains his strength with cardio.

I have a hard time believing that the legs are heavier than the torso. How dense is the head compared to the torso? One of those 2 areas of the body is probably the densest.

If you're implying he should put bulk on his upper legs ( glutes, hamstrings ) then he wouldn't make 205.

Of course he would not. And gaining in the core or the back will probably make it just as hard. The arms are probably the lightest area of the body, yet one where so many seem to believe is what makes someone big or not.

No but his upper body is not bone thin like his legs are. He talks about how he wants to avoid getting hit because of mileage, but staying bone thin, while maybe increasing his quickness and mobility somewhat, is going to give him major problems in the long run in dealing with injuries and weathering the years of a career in fighting. Maybe if he was in the lightweight division he might not have to worry, but lightheavyweights have had a long history of hard hitters, and it seems hard hitters keep on finding their way farther down more and more every year in the smaller weightclasses. Middleweight now has quite a few heavy hitters that I am aware of, and Johnny Hendricks seems to hit notably hard for being in the welterweight division. Just think if Jon Jones took all those leg kicks and knee shots that he gave Rampage? How well do you think Jon Jones could even hold up at all?

Yang Jian Bing pronounced dead after weigh-cut complications

Dojo Drifter has confirmed with official staff of San Juan De Dios Hospital, Pasay City that Yang Jian Bing has passed away.

The bout between Geje Eustaquio and Yan Jian Bing at ONE: Spirit of Champions was scrapped yesterday before the official weigh-ins due to weight cut complications from Yang. There was no official announcement made regarding the cause of the complications.

According to our interview with staff of the hospital, Yang arrived at their emergency room at 2:43PM of Thursday afternoon and was already “unconscious and non-responsive.” He was revived but would go “cold,” losing his pulse sporadically. At 12:06PM today, he was pronounce dead.

Medical staff at the hospital also told DojoDrifter.com that Yang died of Rhabdomyolysis, which is the breakdown of muscle tissue that leads to the release of muscle fiber contents into the blood, which is speculated as a result of the weight cut.
