Well the Kimbo Dada fight was about as much of a fucking joke as I expected it to be. Bellator is just a step above the WWE.

I thought it was entertaining. Entertaining in the way that watching bum fights or random Waffle House fights on Youtube is entertaining. I think I witnessed the slowest reversal in MMA history. Still not sure how Kimbo did it. It was like he was moving his head and somehow reversed Dada and ended up in mount, over a 10 sec span.

Speaking of bum fights, what an embarrassing way for Shamrock to go out. Getting hit in the nuts then TKO'd by Royce. lol I kinda want to see him go out with some dignity but I don't know who they could pair him up with.

Yeah, almost seems like Royce was implying he did it on purpose. And Renner in the Gracie Breakdown (btw, wtf lol) tried to downplay the comments, but also kinda excused it as them being from a different time. But Royce fought in the UFC like 10 years ago with the modern rules, so it was a lame excuse. While I think they should do it again, neither really looked like they were up to it. I think this killed the idea of a seniors league.

This afternoon, Bleacher Report’s Jeremy Botter reported that Harris’ heart stopped temporarily and he was placed on a ventilator last night in the hospital.

Harris’ family provided a statement shortly after, explaining that Harris suffered severe dehydration and renal failure due to extreme potassium levels in his blood. Why was his potassium so dangerously high? Because he lost 40 pounds for the fight.

Hmm, I saw the post fight press conference, and Kimbo said he underestimated the effect of Dada's weight and thats what made him gas, not a lack of training. I thought it was bs but if Dada quickly lost 40lbs he was probably way over 265 on fight night, and I think Kimbo was in the 230s.

They were throwing huge haymakers left and right, no real pace or control at all. Many current UFC fighters would probably have got tired if they fought like them, but they dont for obvious reasons.

Heh - not sure I could call those haymakers. Kimbo took Dada down early in the first round and they wrestled for a while, and that absolutely drained both of them. Neither could keep their hands up the rest of the fight so they would fall down, Kimbo would get on top again but had no energy to throw any punches. Dada really needs to retire, Kimbo too for that matter but he still has name recognition that will allow him a bit more payday. If Dada truly has a heart condition he could die in the octagon if he faced anyone with any stamina whatsoever.

That dada douche looks completely untrained. He lacks even fundamental striking mechanics, and looks like he has had about 3 weeks on the mats grappling.

That whole event was a farce. Royce was once the poster boy for GracieJJ. Now, it would look like a demotivational poster if you took him being introduced and put under it "Body by GJJ" :'( and I agree that "fight" was work.

Bellator has been getting worse and worse. It is as though they are trying to follow the Pride model, but with none of the rules or personalities that made Pride great. For the uninformed or delusional: Pride had worked fights, usually intended to promote very popular fighters, and showcase freak show matches like pro wrestling. Bellator seems to be the bum fights version of that.

UGh that sucks! I really wanted to see that fight, now I gotta here Connor blabbering about how RDA's scared and ducking him. I fucking hate listening to him lol. Hopefully RDA's back soon so the fight can happen. Gonna really mess up the card, wonder what the replacement fight will be. I can't see them having Connor fight any other LW and risk him losing.

Connor shouldnt fight anyone, there really is no upside. While fighting Diaz would be fun, beating him doesnt gain anything, just the potential to lose. Pettis is coming off a loss, and Alvarez has the potential to do to Connor what he did to Pettis. No option is better at LW than what he already has by waiting.

The big losers here are Edgar and Aldo. If Edgar wasnt injured he probably would have gotten his title shot. If Aldo was in shape he probably would have gotten his rematch.

Cerrone has already stated that he wansts the fight. Conor pissed him off because he said cowboy gave up in the RDA fight. Given that Cerrone is already in training shape and Sunday's fight only lasted two and a halfe minutes, I could see them giving it to him. It won't be for the interim title, though. RDA just fought in december.

They probably will give Conor to cowboy and then have conor defend against Frankie, then have the RDA fight with conor.
