Getting desperate, I then asked her to make me a PB&J instead, and she put it on whole wheat bread. Whole wheat? Seriously? I gotta send my wife back to sammich school.

I need some advice, ATOT sammich experts... what do I do here? I already put down the big cash deposit on this lovely woman, so it's too late to trade her in.

Sounds to me like it's not a wife problem...it's a provider problem. You should always have the necessary supplies in the kitchen. Failure to do so is on YOU, not on her.
