Ultimate hangover cure

On the rare occassions I have too much to drink and feel I could have a hangover the next day, I have found that a tall glass of OJ and two aspirin work wonders.

I read a study where they tested this out by having 100 people drink an entire bottle of champaign. 90% of the people who took the OJ and pills felt fine the next morning, only 50% of those who didn't felt as well.

The theory is that the OJ helps re-hydrate you plus boosts your blood sugar level, the aspirin prevents swelling in the brain which is the typical cause for the post-party headache.

When I was a freshman in college back in 90' there were fraternity brothers selling "hangover pills" for $1 which were nothing more than baby aspirin. They still do this today?

i'm not a drinker myself, but my roommate is pretty much an alcoholic, and he told me that taking menstrual pills the next morning, if u do have a hangover, help out a lot.

100 MG Vitamin B before drinking, the same before you go to bed and one in the morning. You'll still be a bit tired but that's all.

just do what i do.....when i get a hangover when i wake up, i just start drinking again. it seems to solve my problem!!

Jalapenos........choke down a few raw or pickled Jalapenos.

You'll instantly be wide awake and your headache will totally disappear.



RE: menstrual pills, Midol and the like will work wonders for a lot of ailments....sore muscles, back pain, etc.

I have heard taking midol before you pass out will help...and tomato juice in the morning...

One of the biggest causes for hangovers is dehydration. Alcohol really really dehydrates your body. I find that drinking water constantly and taking 3 advils cures it totally.

if you drink a glass of water for every beer or shot of alcohol you have had supposedly it will prevent hangovers .. only problem is you spend the whole night in the restroom .. hehe

It's not one of the biggest. It's the only reason you get a hangover.

Another good way to avoid having a hangover is to wait until you are sober before going to sleep...

Water before you go to bed will always help with a hangover. Don't need any pills if you have enough of it. What I've found to work, is applesauce. Wake up before you plan on getting out of bed, have a small bowl of applesauce. It coats your stomach and my guess is that it hydrates you as well. Even if you do it when you do wake up, it will still help, but not as much.

Best hangover cure that I have ever found, and that works well every time, is to smoke bud about an hour or so before bed. Takes the hangover away the next morning. Just be careful, cuz if you're too drunk, you'll probably get sick.

Smoking bud is definately the quickest cure for hangovers. But do not use it whil your really drunk, it will make it too intense.

I personally like the mixture of bud and alcohol. If you get oo high though when you're already swerved, it can cause you to become very dizzy and throwup.

GrimReefer- Many times both can give a very good experience, but i find that you really need to practice moderation with this as too much of either can be a frightining experience.

What works for me is ibprofen and a nice big glass of water b4 u go to bed and then when you wake up in the morning take ibprofen and then a nice glass of iced tea. Dunno but iced tea cures me

Water,
the reason you get hung over is because your brain dehyrates.
Drink a few huge glasses of water if you can.
Or just make sure you drink your daily water needs, or more then that.

The big problem with all these &quot;hangover cures&quot; is that everyone's body metabolism is not the same. What works for one might not work for another. As one who used to drink quite heavily, I've tried numerous so-called &quot;hangover cures&quot;, even &quot;hair of the dog that bit me&quot;, which worked quite well, but I was a vegetable for the rest of the day because once I got started I didn't want to stop.

Ultimately, I found that the best &quot;hangover cure&quot; was to not drink at all.
