Haha...I think I posted the same thing.

I remember when I first started...oh the gains...the change in how I looked happened so quickly...I laugh now at the exercises and my diet back then...so off base and wrong.

Indeed Nutdotnet. I did some some basic stuff when I started out. Just not all that affective really compared to what I do now. Great thing having an OL coach. I learnt a HELL OF A LOT.

Learned. Aren't you English?

As informative as that first post was, it's obvious he's a beginner. Not knocking on you Terran, but you have a LOT to learn. (Been lifting going on 6 years now) Koing, Amused, Nut, Sp33d, and even Red Dawn (has he posted in this thread?) all have good advice to give.

Hmmm...

So the sentence "I learnt a lot" is not correct?

I'm not English btw. I'm Cambodian.

Or "I have learnt a lot".

Oh well brain wasn't in gear I guess . Also I have not been thinking properly but I have been ill the past 5 days so that could explain it? My brain and thinking hasn't been quite right this past week when I was ill.

Tomorrow I'm going to coach my bro and another club lifter at the British U23 Weight Lifting Champs.

Why is it that when I get buffed out (about every two years or so), I never have to use supliments? I just go to a protien/veggie diet and mix 3 days or cardio with 4 days of lifting.

Because we are not all equal.

Some guys can put on mass easily like you. Others have to work harder but most often give up before or do it wrong/ badly and get less results.

I don't take any supplements myself and I am seeing the gains I want to see. I may use supplements later but I am fine.

I have another question: Why is it that certain times of the year I seem to be easily able to pack on muscle, but then other times I can feel the muscle burning away and I get soft for no apparent reason? Do a guy's hormones fluctuate that much? My workout schedule's been the same and my diet is pretty much the same.

BTW, thanks for the info, Amused.

There's a supplement called "viagra" to fix your "get soft for no apparent reason" issue.

Does it happen as a seasonal thing? Most guys (I don't know your overall conditioning or shape) tend to bulk up during fall/winter and lean. If you're not doing anything different though, that's odd. COuld be stress related, sleep, maybe change in weather.

What I don't get is why you 16 year olds or anyone for that matter is using Creatine. It isn't healthy for you and your body converts it into steroids.

You're still growing and should do it naturally and not even take that stuff it could do more harm than good. If you need fast absorbing iron eat more beef. Fish is good but even then like osmeone stated the mercury levels in it. Limit the canned tuna to 4 times per week...

Guess none of you going to post progress pictures to prove what you "preach" heh.

You remind me of myself. I was 5'11" and 160 at the age of 16 as well, but never taller than that . Now, I'm 210 lb. . Lost the will to excercise after marriage and 2 kids.

I wrote this guide to get rid of this ignorance. I guess my efforts were in vain. There will always be morons who think creatine is a steroid. Do you mind if I quote that statement and post it on bodybuilidng.com We could use a good laugh.

Steroids LOL..... NOT even close. ...........any styeroid > creatine. And creatine does not convert or have anything to do with steroids.

Please explain the chemical process that converts amino acids (creatine) into hormones (steroids).

Does your ass hurt after pulling that huge pile of nonsense out of it?

BTW, I'm 38, not 16.

I know Red Dawn will blast me for posting this pic again, but here is a picture of my "progress" in the form of my 18" arms:

http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/Amused/IMG_0438.JPG

I have cycled creatine for over 2 years with no ill effects. In fact, protein, creatine and a basic multivitamin have been my only supplements. I am all natural.

You have no proof that creatine, taken properly is harmful. None. In fact, I defy you to produce any peer reviewed and repeated studies showing any harm from proper use of creatine as a dietary supplement.

Your training regimine is excellent.
I did the Max-OT 12 week course last year and had amazing results.
Especially in strength gains.
I started with a max bench press of 135lbs, and after 6 weeks I was working with 265lbs as part of my chest routine. Its all about lifting to failure every time, and and increasing the weight almost every time you workout.

It works, though it will wear you out if you dont get the proper rest. I havent hit a lick in a year now, and am trying to get myself going again.

I'm 35 years old
