Ultimate Storage Motherboard

I currently have an Asus P5KR mobo, with 3 hdd's and a dvd writer connected to all four sata ports. I then discovered theres a fifth hidden miles away on the other side of the mobo. That's now full and now I want to add another hdd.

Are there any motherboards out there that can cater for 8 SATA ports (with an intel q6600, pcie 16x, a few pci ports, 1066 fsb, and support for 1066fsb with 8gb ddr 2/3?)

The gigabyte P45 UD3P fits those needs very nicely. 8 Sata ports, supports crazy FSB (with quads too) and is capable of running whatever memory speed you want, pretty much. Labeled as DDR2 1366+

this. couldnt get the slacker to post it under my name for me earlier, but i own 2 of this board and it's a beast. i have more sata ports than i have hard drive bays now lmao

one of them is running my 4.2GHz Q9650 on air, the other one was a replacement for my e5200 bed, since the 680i in there was going out on me. gonna scrap my athlon 64 box now and turn the e5200 into the file server instead lol

Have you thought about adding a PCIe SATA controller card instead?
