Replace the rotational hard drive in these machines with an SSD, and not only does it get much faster, but far cooler as well. My wife's netbook never gets past warm, no matter what the task.
it has been shown time and time again that an ssd doesnt run that much cooler and doesnt consume less power. Sometimes the SSD's actually consume more power then a notebook 2.5" mechanical drive.
Your laptop gets hot from the cpu, the gpu, and the battery, not the hard drive.
Def a great deal on a desktop replacement, laptop though.
