Rebates are differant, one is ultra, one is radio shack. One needs original one needs copy UPC. Looks legit.

Basically, the reason why radioshack is doing this is that they are looking at it as $50 AR from thier point of view since $50 of the rebates is direct from ultra and doesn't come out of radioshack's bottom line. At least thats how they look at it. It probably is still below thier cost though.
Ultra looks at it similarly, only $50 out of thier price.

I dunno wtf I'm going to use this PSU on, maybe a spare. I'm not about to give up my 485 watt enermax noisetaker with 3 year warranty.

BTW djspl nice find on that official 24 pin cable. Looks sweet. If I needed that it would make the PSU only $13 AR heh.

buyer beware, onrebate.com is tricky and has alot of complaints. first off, after waiting 3 months, you either recieve your rebate or get a denied status through their online status check. I recieved 2 and got denied one.

If you recieve your rebate, you have to worry about the check bouncing. If you did not recieve the rebate, their 1-800 # is a gimmick and no one will ever pick up. The email listed on their website is a fake also, they don't reply them.

The only thing that makes them different from most other rebate companies is they make it hard to contact them. After googling around i did manage to find a contact for their company and get my rebate accepted, but the 1-800 # and email on their main site leads to dead end for me with multiple trys. along with other people.

all in all, keep copies of everything for this rebate company. They try their best to keep your money. probably because they do alot of free after rebate deals.

I plan to avoid onrebate.com from now on.

It would appear at first blush that the radio shack rebate is looking for a copy of the upc, however if you go to their rebate faq it clearly states that it requires the original. I'd call them first to make sure before you jump on this.

I printed out the RS web page that clearly states price of $-0.01 (after rebate), as well as likting both $50 rebates. Dunno for sure, but I'm reasonably comfortable with that as back up....

Will I be able to get the onrebate rebate? About 6 months ago, I bought another Ultra-x PSU (430 watt I think) from somewhere else and the rebate was ~$30 from onrebate. Because of this, would this disqualify me from another rebate even if it's a different PSU/amount.

Yeah, if the RS website is advertising this deal as -$0.01 AR, I trust that it's valid. $5 sales tax for me... however, if you have the Citibank Divident Credit Card, they offer 5% cash back through their Divident Merchant Network... so that way I'm still getting paid a shiny quarter to get this PSU.

Ok i called to clear it up and they admitted that the way the rebate is printed is ambiguous. Anyhow a copy of the upc for them will be sufficient.
