Most people won't notice anyways. People will get 4k and still sit same as they did with 1080p.
Too many variables it peoples personal tastes to see if its worth it. To get best results is go see it working to get a preference. Showroom quality is not always set up right. but if you can't see it with own eyes first, never make a jump into it.
I learned that lesson the hard way with the 120-144Hz monitor crazy. Dumped those and went back to IPS and games just are better to me.
