HELP please..
I have an old Acer Travelmate 312T notebook which is in effect useless unless you guys can help.
I need to access an external minDVD (branding says Fujitsu info book says Archos) drive from dos via a cardbus adapter. The windows install is unusable and I cannot reinstall Windows or access the recovery CD without being able to access the DVD drive from a dos prompt. (The original CDROM was faulty and was replaced with the miniDVD). I have an Archos win9x driver disk that came with the drive which is obviously no good for dos.
I have tried various drivers and can now open and close the dvd drawer but cannot access the drive to read CD's.
Please if anyone can give detailed instructions for the drivers to use and how the autoexec.bat and config.sys should read I would be eternally greatful.
