OK tryed Wireless-G It kept dropping connection from the access point over and over. So My dad picked up a wireless-n $180 D-Link DIR-655 and I installed a Linksys card that has the antenna you can move around last night. I could only get 70% strength It showed it was connected, but the network icon on the tray showed no connection I tryed to repair and by the time I got the error it couldn't repair it already dropped the access point connection yet again.
The distance from the router to the computer the wireless card is installed in may be 50 feet tops. Probably more like 30-35. My bluetooth for my phone will reach further. Is there something that could be getting done wrong? Anyone else hear of this? My friend bought me a wireless-g card Linksys WMP54G that dropped the access point just in the other room 10 feet away but washed the receipt in the wash so can't take it back to radioshack. If anyone wants it shoot me a price so he can get some money back for it. He paid $50 at radioshack. It was used for maybe 3 hours till I got pissed with it dropping connection and put it back in the box all to find out that night he washed it.
I've been moving the antenna around all morning and still can't get it to stay connected to the access point and haven't even been able to load one page in a browser.
