I have a MIS K8T Neo-fis2r. This is a 2-year old motherboard. Stupid me was trying to do some O'C. However, I found the latest locked the memory clock setting, so I tried to switch back to older bios.
In the first few attempts, i was able to flash the bios with different version. However, I am failed to flash it again after 4-5 switches. My computer still posts as usual, but whenever I try to flash the bios again, the computer will lock up.
I even tried to do the bios recovery procedure for the AMI bios by press&hold ctrl-home during restart. The motherboard is supposed to read in the bios from a floppy disk. However, I would hear 7-beep sound continuously during the flash. I waited long enough that I assumed the bios recovery failed, so I was forced to reboot the computer and found the bios is still the same old ver1.2.
Can anyone tell me how to flash the bios back to the latest version? I found the older version would fail at cool-n-quiet. My CPU is a Athlon 64 3200+ newcastle. If I switch on cool-n-quiet, the CPU would keep running at 1.6-1.8 mHz instead of 2.2mHz.
