It's extremely silly however to consider manslaughter as manslaughter presumes the death to be accidental, which it was not.

So at this point it seems we can agree that Zimmerman did all of the wrong things leading up to the altercation. Albeit, none of them illegal.. .just dumb, and not what an average citizen would do.
So now we're talking about letting a guy making a series of poor choices, and kill a minor and just walk... no repercussions for his actions at all.
Time to set up a casey anthony & george zimmerman reality show. Maybe they can have a baby together and then kill it together and beat the charges.

If the state can't prove their case Judge Nelson could drop charges and grant GZ immunity without it going to the jury.

If Trayvon was white, the fact he was wearing a hoody wouldn't lead Zimmerman to jump to the conclusion that he was a burglar.

I believe it had more to do with costs (experts) and placing the burden of proving the case against GZ on the prosecution.
So believing a charge wouldn't stick = not thinking he did anything wrong? He's a police officer in a state where when you kill someone it's apparently nearly impossible to go to jail so long as you claim you feared for your life. He probably knew he did it, and knew he was in the wrong. But pursuing things would have been pointless due to how Florida has a "shooter is always in the right" law thing happening.
Where I live, Georgie would be 99% be in prison for a long ass time right now. It's nuts how different Florida is in this regard.
Some 24-26 other states have the same laws. This is nothing special about florida, california is one of the "fucked up states" where you have a duty to retreat.
In case you didn't know, florida and 24 or 26 other states have no "duty to retreat" from a brutal and vicious attack from a thug.

It continues to e the case that as more info comes out GZ's version of events is solidified. When he is acquitted of this charge those racists in the community who immediately thought a black kid being shot by a non-black had to be illegal will go crazy for sure.
