The law says fear of GBH, not fear of death, and there is no requirement to wait for a certain degree of harm.
You are not required to try to judge how badly your attacker intends to hurt you, once he is hurting you.
Sure I get that, its just curious the adjectives he used in the heat of the moment, were that of being beat up vs stronger language that would insintuate he was in fear of death or GBH.
If I get my ass kicked I woudl tell people I got beatup
If someone tried to seriously hurt or kill me, I would use language to convey that.
Its not that the inujuries were not enough, its that Zimmerman doesnt seem to think they are that bad, Hell he didnt even know he was bleeding until after he shot him.
However if Zimmerman shot him because he was upset at being beat up, I could see him saying that. Maybe Zimmerman himself tells us what happened.
"He was beating me up so I shot him" Was that because you were in fear of GBH or death or was it you were simply angry about it.
