He did say the first volley may have been justified, there's zero evidence it was. Except for one guy who called 911 and said that the teens MAY have been stashing something IN THE CAR, not out of the car. No gun was found IN the car.

Seriously?

You are declaring you know exactly what happened. You were also declaring that anyone who is not forming a definitive conclusion, has actually has formed a definitive conclusion opposite to your own correct conclusion.

Your summation of HumblePie's comments were:

"So, if he killed Davis in the first volley, you think he won't/shouldn't get murder <snip> Verbal threats shouted from a car window are enough justification to fire?"

Me? I just learned about this case today, and from what I can briefly see I lean towards believing Dunn will go to prison for a long time.

Stop arguing with soundofmyownvoice; it's like picking on children. I'm sick of seeing one of my idol's faces used in such a perverse manner. He has more posts in this thread than you or I have posts in the last 5 years. Do you think you are going to convince him of anything?

This black man on CNN is my new hero.

Calling the NAACP and like minded race baiters and bigots on their bullshit, almost in a way I feel would be impossible for a white person because of the gang up mentality and the narrative of national media to give no quarter to whites whatsoever when it comes to race.

Anyone remember this from March 17 2012. Part of the coordinated effort to create the lie about what occurred the night TM died that has led to where we see the country divided today.

Count the lies from Crump. This conjured up narrative never stopped. Crump is really just a despicable vulcher. Hopefully he is exposed fully.

Still, Zebo's point must be driven home. I recommend people go to youtube. There is a video by a lawyer called "don't talk to cops". It gives excellent hypotheticals--which make sense in light of what GZ did in his talking to cops--of why you should lawyer up immediately and say absolutely nothing other than that you are exerting your right to say nothing (thanks, SCOTUS).

Juror B37 is writing a book

http://www.cnn.com/2013/07/15/justice/zimmerman-juror-book/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

CNN) -- One of the six women who served on the jury that acquitted George Zimmerman will be writing a book about her experiences, literary agent Sharlene Martin said Monday.
"My hope is that people will read Juror B37's book, written with her attorney husband, and understand the commitment it takes to serve and be sequestered on a jury in a highly publicized murder trial and how important, despite one's personal viewpoints, it is to follow the letter of the law," Martin, president of Martin Literary Agency, wrote in a statement.
"It could open a whole new dialogue about laws that may need to be revised and revamped to suit a 21st Century way of life," Martin said.
Verdict debate doesn't end debate in Martin's death
Jurors were not identified by name during the trial, so the identity of the would-be author was not immediately apparent.
However, according to HLN, CNN's sister network, juror B37 has been married 20 years, has two adult children and once had a concealed weapons permit. She has lived in Seminole County, Florida, for 18 years and volunteers for animal rescue groups, according to HLN.
In addition to exploring Florida self-defense laws, gun control and race relations, the book will show readers "why the jurors had no option but to find Zimmerman not guilty due to the manner in which he was charged and the content of the jury instructions," Martin said.
Martin has handled a number of other controversial high-profile books, including "If I Did It," the book written by O.J. Simpson, but acquired by the family of murder victim Ronald Goldman, detailing how the killings of Goldman and Simpson's former wife Nicole Simpson might have been committed.
Despite outrage, federal charges uncertain in Zimmerman case

True but I really do think that Zimmerman want to tell his story and I also think he wanted to testify at trail.

Remember when he said he was screaming BEFORE he knew there was a recording?

Remember when the police said there was a video and he said "thank god".

He wanted to tell anyone and everyone what happened without a lawyer because he truly thought that he didn't need one, because he did nothing wrong.

Point that I thought about last night. I do not know if it was ever discussed.

Brandy's son - Chad.
He was at the house that evening.
Supposedly Martin went out to get the candy for him (per the original story).

Any boy would be interested in either a gun shot (not that frequent in the neighborhood) followed by sirens & lights.

Figure that there was a commotion for a good 2-3 hours right in his back yard.

And the boy never showed interest?

Or Brandy would not allow the LEO to talk to him?

As far as I'm concerned I agree with O'Mara's press conference statements that there's no evidence Zimmerman's actions had anything to do with race.

And I expect he would have reported to police if everything else he observed was the same no matter what the race of the person was.

I still think that he acted hastily and recklessly, but I don't have a problem with the verdict saying he isn't criminally liable.
I largely agree, but I can't help wondering if, had Martin been white, Zimmerman might have been a little more circumspect. Not because I suspect Zimmerman of racism, but because most if not all of the people victimizing the neighborhood were black, which preconditions everyone subconsciously. Two more minutes before the encounter goes physical and Martin is alive.

People are focusing on what Zimmerman should have done differently, and I agree he screwed up, but we should also be focusing on what Martin could have done differently. His style of dress, his demeanor, probably his response to Zimmerman - anything that could have shaken Zimmerman's conviction that this was a criminal, would have gained him that two minutes. And that's setting aside Zimmerman's testimony that Martin attacked him, which is supported by the evidence and a whole 'nother level of stupid.

The State is done, except for something very strange, like finding out the jury was bribed. It would have to be something that essentially means the whole trial itself was invalid, so it's like the trial never happened.

As for the Feds charging GZ with murder, they have no jurisdiction that I can see in this case.

As for a civil trial in Florida, it seems GZ is immune by Florida law.

As for a Federal Civil Rights charge, that's a very long stretch in the first place, given that GZ was not acting under color of law or the like, and it's an even longer stretch, given the racism investigation that was already conducted.
My bad. Shows what I get for assuming I know anything about the law.

I don't believe any part of that little story either.

The family has fabricated and intentionally misconstrued so many details that we have no idea what is fact and what was part of the lynch mob railroad.

This might be rare case talking to cops helped him as much as I hate to say it. Cops actually testified on his behalf to his benefit. That's very rare. Instead of saying "i believe GZ was telling the truth" they will say "they all say they are innocent" Nevertheless opposition still jumped on minor inconsistencies like he was a pathological liar.

My problem with it is it's risky as hell. I don't know what kind of state of mind and shock i'd be in after shooting a man. Maybe start talking all crazy. Who knows. Best STFU.

I hope lawyers such as Dershowitz keep the pressure on the Florida Bar to take actions against Corey/prosecution. It would be so nice to see them disbarred for their blatant disregard of their oath to uphold Florida law.

The topic seems to be going to race and the justice/criminal system.

It's about money and fame first regarding our loopholes in the criminal justice system. Race comes later as a factor.
