Jury wants clarification about instructions regarding Manslaughter. Sounds like Murder 2 is out, and they're unsure if Manslaughter applies or not.

Also self-defense protects against both, so if they are looking at manslaughter it means at least one of them doesn't believe his story.

Well, they're apparently not unsure about Murder 2. If they were certain that Murder 2 fit, then clarification for Manslaughter would be sorta redundant.

The jurors don't want to have to come back tomorrow. They want this over with tonight. Funny how this comes right at 6PM, at the same time yesterday ended. Maybe just a coincidence, but seems oddly timed.

Yep. I predicted a 0% chance of Murder 2 in the prediction thread.

What concerns me is the idea the jury might see Manslaughter as some kind of "compromise" between Murder 2 and Not Guilty, and they should NOT be thinking that way. He'd still get 10-30 years. Self defense is a defense to Manslaughter. If they can't see at least reasonable doubt about self defense in all that evidence then there is something wrong with them.

Not true. There is voluntary manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter as well.
