What can this possibly mean? There is no difference between scanning and printing and taking the damn box to Kinkos and using their copying machine. It will produce the same results. They can't possibly justify rejecting your scan/print. How would they even know the difference? I cut out my scan with a scissors. There's no way for them to detect a difference. Jeez.Originally posted by: Chesebert
when they mean photocopy they mean go out to your kinko's and ask for the photocopy of the UPC code.
I called the rebate center and they said they won't accept anything else besides a xerox copy of the barcode.
Here is what they said if you line your copy with the one on the box it should be an exact match or they won't take it.
strange isn't it.

I'd definitely complain to someone if they reject your rebate because of sending in the original UPC cut from the box. That's the stupidist thing I've ever heard. The whole purpose of sending in the UPC code is to give them proof of your purchase. An original UPC cut from the box is more proof of your purchase than a photo copy of any kind.DAMNIT, I just sent in the original UPC. I've never seen a request for a photocopied one, cept on multiple rebates for the same item. I did make a copy of the UPC before I sent it, so I'll have to send them a copy of that as well....

I went to the Pensacola, FL BB to return some defective RAM. Waited in the customer service line for about 45 minutes & they only moved about 6 people in that time. I stepped out of line since I can return the RAM later. I went to check out the video cards & ALL of the BFG cards were there. Not a single one was missing from the shelves! Unless they just restocked, of course.
I picked up one of the cards, installed it, and immediately ran 3D Mark. I'm not very impressed. I only scored 8196! WTF? My old MSI GF2 GTS Pro almost scored that. Now, granted, I haven't done any tweaking so it maight get better. One other thing, the amount of clipping while running the tests was horrible. It even locked up when I ran the DEMO movie within 3D Mark.
I'm going to do some cleaning & tweaking to see if I can make this any better but I'm not too impressed at the moment.
BTW: I also played the UT2K3 demo with everything turned on & it ran perfectly! Very nice looking with no clipping, artifacting, or any other hiccups. Weird.
Here's my system stats for those who're wondering:
MSI KT3 Ultra ARU - 768 MB PC2100 RAM - 2x 40 GB HDD in RAID 0 - Enermax Whisper 350W PSU - and of course, BFG GF4 Ti4200
