And they are a paypal verified permier member :Q

The only issue I see is a 2-4 week waiting period.

I did email them, and they replied quickly, saying that they cannot mention whom their distributor is

I was reading his evals on EGAY, and in his few negatives his response seems reasonable.

He also states that by abiding by EGAY's rules, if he cannot get your product to you within a month, he'd refund your money.

Seems as he's attempting to be fair and honest. He flat out explains himself.

Maybe I'm spoiled by deals like the WalMart laptop - the prices at this site just don't seem that great. I mean, c'mon, $910 for a Compaq with no dvd, just a 24x cd? That's just not hot enough for me.

Did some price checking with Outpost.com, seems like a pretty good deal.

For example:
Vaio XG500 is $2600 from Outpost.
From them, $1890...

Vaio Z505LE is $2,200 from Outpost.
From them, $1450...

Vaio Z505LS is $2700 from Outpost.
From them, $1825...

Vaio Z505LSK is $2800 from Outpost.
From them, $1900...

However, keep in mind that Outpost is an established retailer (so easier to deal with refunds and such). They have free overnight shipping, and for some of the notebooks, they offer a free cd-rom and $100 rebate. I even saw that they offered a wireless lan card for some models.

Damn, I'd love to jump on this sucker... probably get the $1450 one if my mother approves my purchase, but then again, I just built a new computer. Wireless lan kicks butt though. Any of you buy from them yet???

I just checked shopper.com. Buy.com has the vaio z505le for 1799 and shipping is $9. Throw in a coupon to save a little cash, plus you can use a credit card for protection (and I get 1% back on my card so that's a little more). Ebates too, maybe.

Still not as cheap as this other place, but better than Outpost.
