Yeah, I found these to be lol as well. Interesting show, but pretty wacky.

That I'm not sure I agree with. They did set her up as a relatively newbie cop in the show, in a small town, and even then I'm not sure it would have necessarily been the best decision to immediately declare martial law, as she'd have a riot right away.

The other stupid thing is the only person the locked-up-girl manages to tell her story to in a whole town gets killed off immediately, and so she makes a deal with one of the people that kept her locked up.

Isolated in itself you are right, but I put it down more with the larger there shouldn't have been a condition allowing the food riots to occur which then wouldn't have allowed that to be masked so easy.

I have noticed this in other episodes but it only does it for this show.

I just started watching this last weekend and am already caught up. It's a cool concept but I agree most of the developments are whacky and LOL-worthy for sure. Hopefully turns around. I'll still watch though lol

Yeah read the book wiki all you want. Doesn't seem to have much to do with the show. It has been a long time since I read the book so I just read the wiki to refresh my memory. Other than names and the dome(sphere) pretty much everything else seems to be different.

This has grown on me. Broadchurch is on at the same time, ends next week, so I've been watching this on demand on the weekend. It's entertaining and probably pretty low budget. They have like 5 sets: diner, main town area, the kid's house, the lady's house, and two farms. All in the middle of nowhere with all relatively unknown actors except the Breaking Bad guy, no competition broadcast through summer, might last a while.
