Kinda how I feel with this show. If I had a time machine, I'd tell myself to not really bother with the show, but because I've seen the eps, I might as well watch the next one.

After the finale, I read the synopsis of the book online, so I guess I kind of know where it's going, but the show is already quite a bit different than the book.

Heh, I came into the thread to see what was up with the finale. I just happened to watch the first episode - it was a fluke; I rarely watch television. But, I decided to read the synopsis on wikipedia of the book. It appears from many of the comments that by reading the synopsis instead of watching, I won.

I liked Linda at first but after she pulled the "this is now police property" bullshit along with siding with Big Jim on everything even knowing some of what he's been up to, I've lost interest.

I knew it was going to suck since about the 3rd episode but decided to continue to hatewatch it until the end of this season. But last night's finale was a whole other level of trash.

Remember jim has enough people following him that they can grab her before she can tell many.

Not to mention the only 2 guys that knew she broke him out was one of the guys that really wants him dead, the dj so he wouldn't care.

As for joe he is in the small group of people that knows the truth but with no evidence so he doesn't matter.

I really enjoyed the first couple of episodes. The premise was interesting enough, that I was able to look past the cheese. But about halfway through, the only reason my son and I watched it was to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. This season finale was just plain horrible.

The worst character has to be Officer Linda... She has to be the worst criminal investigator of all time. She never seems to bother to ask any inquisitive questions. Even Frank Drebin (of Police Squad / Naked Gun fame) could figure out what's going on.

I mean, when the actor read the line "No! I told you this is police property now. If anyone's gonna touch it's going to be me"... Isn't there anyone on the set who would stand up and say "Seriously???"

omg, this show is so dumb. How do you plead Barbie? Not Guilty. OK, lets hang him. Hard to believe anyone in that town would be OK with that kind of justice.
