The Sweet Hereafter is absolutely brilliant. Completely forgot about it. Wasn't that Egoyan's first big one?

Not sure which of his movies is considered his first "big one". Those 2 are the only of his movies i've seen & Exotica came out 3 years before the Sweet Hereafter.

It's funny, but when I read the title of this post I was thinking of this very same movie...It was a great flick.

Natural Born Killers...not sure if its under rated or not but it's a love it or hate it kind of movie.

How about Up the Creek?? anyone remember that one?

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang : Almost unknown but great writing
The Lives of Others: Foreign film, not very well known in america
Water: Same, great great Indian film that not many Americans know about

No. I like hollywood movies just as much as foreign movies. They both bring good qualities. Evil is a zombie film as well that I like not just the Swedish film Evil but that one was really good. I can't remember most of it though because I saw it like 2 to 3 years ago.

Event Horizon scared the crap out of me in the theater, especially the scene in the bridge where everything just...exploded kind of.

Also, Baseketball was a kickass movie. Best script EVAH.

Brilliant movie. My Mom was able to sneak me into the theatre to see it and I was very grateful. Definitely added.
