Now this movie you must add The Other Side. This movie rocks and was made for very little money. http://imdb.com/title/tt0393567/

event horizon was great imo, the only cheesy part was the guy on fire. Otherwise I thought all the real girls was like a 9.5 for me and its usually rated 6 or so, just a good movie about relationships.

Underrated or just bad? Though Deathrace has its moments, and I actually quite liked Xtro when I was a kid, the other ones look pretty terrible.
I'll add Deathrace and Xtro for now, but the others require further review.

Roadie? It has Meatloaf, Don Cornelius, Hank Williams Jr. and Art Carney!
Circuitry Man looks like it was made on a shoestring budget in the 80s. But it actually had a pretty decent plot and it has been one of my underrated movies to see again.
I'll give up Beyond the Door. It wasn't that good, come to think about it - except for the chest of drawers sliding in an out and the main character levitating to "beyond the door." Now for some erotic viewing, I would suggest looking up Beyond the Green Door.

1981 Peter Weir WW1 film, with a very young Mel Gibson in a standout performance. Very artistically shot, and very honest writing.
You have to be in the kind of mood to watch a deliberately-paced period drama, but it's very rewarding. Peter Weir went on to direct such greats as :
Witness
The Mosquito Coast
Dead Poets Society
The Truman Show
Master and Commander

Ooo .. thought of some more.
The Game, solid work by Fincher with a well-cast Michael Douglas sort of playing a burned out version of his 'Wall Street' character.
12 Monkeys, sci-fi never seems to get much respect, but Terry Gilliam mixed up a weirdly funny sci-fi dramedy here. Brad Pitt's Jeffrey Goines is going to go down as a classic oddball.
The Crossing Guard, this is severely underrated. Sean Penn directs an unbelievably good performance out of Jack Nicholson as the tortured father of a child lost to a drunk driver. David Morse very memorable as that regretful drunk driver.

Hey Keith, I'm a fan of Terry Gilliam, but haven't seen either Brazil or Time Bandits. Worthy?
