Orgazmo.

Agreed on all points, though I'm not sure Tremors was under rated.

Little Children [2006]

Not exactly under-rated: It was nominated for a whole bunch of awards and was universally appreciated by critics. But very few people have actually seen the movie - and few seem interested.

The Mosquito Coast - one of Harrison Ford's least know films(or least popular) with Helen Mirren & River Phoenix.

Death and the Maiden - Sigourney Weaver & Ben Kingsley... doesn't get any better than that. Directed by Roman Polanski. One of my favorite films.

A Perfect World - Clint Eastwood directed & starred... along with Kevin Costner & Laura Dern.

The last 2 i'd never heard of till i saw them at the video store.

Grandma's Boy is one of the funniest movies I saw in 2005... Black Hawk Down was another great movie.

So I Married an Axe Murderer

Never hear anyone talk about it, but one of my favorites from the 90s...

"We have a piper down!"

"Head! Pants! Now!!"

Comic gold I tell ya...

I have seen this movie about 30 times! The only VHS video I still watch on a regular basis.

"Woman. Wo-man. Woooooooo-man
She stole my house and my cat!"

"He'll be crying himself to sleep tonight, on his huge pillow"

LMFAO!! So underrated.

The Last Action Hero

I thought this was a well made spoof of action/Arnold movies that was way over your typical Arnold fan's head.

"To be or not to be? Not to be."

Also another vote for Beerfest. I just saw this movie for a second time(the first time I wasnt impressed) & there were actually a lot of jokes that I must have missed the first time that made me laugh.

"Come on, guys. I'm a respected member of the scientific community. I've been published in four journals."

"Which one? Toad Load Weekly?"

JUST KIDDING!
I liked Monkeybone

Rose McGowan as a catgirl, Chris Kattan as a dead guy possessed by Brendan Fraser, some great Henry Selick visuals. Not a movie of the year, but it was fun.

I know it's a much more serious movie than anyone might have mentioned so far, but United 93, directed by Paul Greengrass is somewhat underrated not by the critics and press because they all voted it Top 10, in so many lists and whatnot but just the general public. But given the subject and the style of the movie it is incredibly difficult to watch. I mean I watched it once in the theater and 3 times at home on DVD and all 3 times I freely admit to just literally sobbing at the end. But damn is it a good movie that so many people haven't seen or think it's disrespectful etc....

Otherwise I'll definitely agree with Zoolander.....hilarious movie so underrated too.

I was going to mention Dark City... great movie.

My other pick would be Unbreakable. A lot of people hated this movie, but I really liked Bruce Willis in it. (I like Shyamalan, but I did think The Village and especially Lady in the Water were terrible.)

@DeathBUA: United 93 was actually very well done IMO. I liked it a lot.

I would not classify Sixteen Candles as underrated, i think it was relatively popular and is certainly now thought of as one of the defining Hughes movies of the 80's. I do agree with Dark City, Elizabeth, and Tampopo. A lot of the rest I have not heard of.

Unbreakable is extremely underrated and just may be my favourite Shyamalan movie.

I clicked in here and the first thing I saw was Dark City. VERY under appreciated movie. Let's face it... The Matrix was a complete rip-off of Dark City. The Waichowski Bros added to the concept, but there is no denying which came first.

I'll add Hudsucker Proxy to the list. And if you've never seen Black Rain... do yourself a favor... One of my favorite cop movies.

Beerfest was pretty terrible imo.

I watch a lot of movies and here are some I liked:

The Matador- Pierce Brosnan is a hitman who meets a businessman and they both think they can help each other.

School for Scoundrels- John Heder goes to school on how to not be a loser. It's pretty predictable but kinda funny if you want to see the caricature of a guy with no self-esteem.

Employee of the Month- I liked this movie and I think it's enjoyable if you want to see the caricatures of the people who work in retail.

A Scanner Darkly- There is a lot of fluff in the middle but the movie makes sense in the end. I probably would've liked it better if they made the extraneous information in the middle make more sense.

Crank- Totally unrealistic but kinda fun to watch the visuals on this action flick.

Asian Movies:

Battle Royale- This movie doesn't make a lot of sense but it's enjoyable just to see the players in action.

Perfect Blue- Dark, anime murder mystery I thought was pretty good.

My Sassy Girl- There's going to be an American remake of this but I doubt it'll be as good as the original. This is my favorite romantic comedy.

Attack the Gas Station- It's a comedy that has a unique approach to story telling.
