in the movie, victors daughter get's impregnated by a Lichen. I know it's fiction but i don't know of any other vampire legend or story ANYWHERE were a vampire can get impregnated never mind by a lichen.

does anyone know why this was added to the story line??

btw, i'm pretty sure that victors daughter was a vampire as she was killed by being exposed to the sun.

You have never seen Blade... in Blade when they talk about pure blood what do you think they mean? That chick in Blade 2 was born a vampire... and Victors daughter was born a Vampire.

Blah, underworld sucks. I am even kind of into the games you know pen and paper stuff (Dark and scary ohhhh!). The plot was boring I felt like i was sitting at a games but I wans't playing. all in all the killing was good, and the actors tried there best. i give it 8 out of 10 but that is because I am being nice and white wolf is a cool company

Did you know White wolf is suing Sony under the claim that Underworld has stolen WW's Vampire the Masquerade and Werewolf the Apocalypse content and repackeged it for movie distribution. (Also btw, they've decided to end their world of darkness line.)

That is a good question. They also state in the movie they "fight" each other even on the cellular level. So how do the sperm and egg react to each other. I would think it be somewhat violent.... Well, so would sex be during the full moon too.

Selene Beckinsale was oh soo smoking hot! made the movie for me, I enjoyed it, for a vampire movie i thought it was very original.

To answer your question, I didn't think it was possible either but apparently it was. With that said, why did it take centuries for them to reproduce it? They could have just done it naturally. That's one of the many things I found confusing in the movie. The whole "pureblood", decendent of (forgot the name) etc etc thing. Like what exactly was special about Michael (the human) and Marcus (the elder vamp in hibernation)? They are related somehow?

The Victor old guy called the following a myth...but from what happened in the movie..I guess it's "true".

Some guy named Corvinius or something like that survived some thing that killed a whole town in the 5th century...I think it was a virus...that became the vampire and werewolf virus? Anyway, he became the first immortal...and somehow vamps and WW descended from him. The Michael Corvin guy was a human descendant from him(I guess from before the above happend). The Marcus guy in the tomb was a vampire descendant of the guy(since I guess they all would be, he must be close/special)

The movie wasn't the best, but I liked it. I thought the vampires were too weak compared to the werewolves....should of been more hand to hand/swords and a little less guns. Also Selene and Michael guy falling in love seemed sudden and made no sense to me how it happened. Overall I liked it though. Doesn't hurt to have camera on someone like Bekinsale for most of the movie either :heart:
