Sigh, lets ask the Native American's opinions then. I did not make this thread to play whos the bigger genocidal killers. The USA and European 19th Century Colonialism FAR overreach numbers of Stalinism, and the whole history of the Gulag system. -hell, lets even throw in Hitlers camps in WW2.

I am a direct decedent of Cherokee who were on the Trail of Tears, and I'm not ignorant of what "Manifest Destiny" did to Native Americans. That however is not germane to your OP which is about the 99ers which is a current issue and the USSR, a past entity.

I can't believe all the drivel OP posted having never lived in USSR. Youg people didn't huddle with their parents and great-parents because it was "convenitent" and "cheaper"; they did it because of the severe housing shortage in USSR. No food lines? Please! There were lines to buy just about everything, especially in late 1980's. If anybody wants to know how life really was in USSR then ask away, I lived there for 19 years.

This is exactly what happens in the US, you know that right? If you have the knowledge and the skills, the employer will pay you what you're worth. And other employers will try to covet you as well through more pay, better benefits etc.

When there's a larger pool of unemployed works, such as now, it still holds true because the skilled labor has the employment. Employers know that if they treat their employees badly now, when the economy picks up, they're going to leave the ship. Some employers lose site of this, and they'll suffer for it when they lose their talent.

The OP is someone (who via his own admissions in another thread) benefits from the capitalist system by running a night club and who complained about city government "interfering" with his business. The irony is pretty huge here IMHO.

However this conversation is no better then talking to a brick wall. There is no way to reason with someone who has been fully indoctrinated (by his own hand or by that of others) into believing that communism is a glorious route to a "Utopian" play land of sunshine and warm cookies. It's in essence like trying to talk to a cultist who wants to ignore the clear and factual evidence of history that disputes his/her points on every occasion.
