Another issue that I have been fuming about is the fact that the first 15 or so allies killed in the first few days of war were either due to vehicular accidents or "friendly" fire. The first British troop to be killed in action was yesterday, while before that SIX times as many were killed by their own side. Obviously I realize mistakes happen in war but to be frank this just takes the p*ss.
We have the patriot missile defense system shooting down its own side. We have the newsteam shot to pieces while in clearly marked jeep. A British tank shot by another British tank... The list goes on. I feel for the families, it's one thing to lose you son or daughter to the enemy in battle... but to lose them to their own side? That's got to be utterly devestating... :|
