Unhappy MX700 Buyer

no problems here, loving it so much I might have to get another wireless MX duo

Mine is FANTASTIC, try some of these troubleshooting steps.

- Make sure the reciever is facing the mouse, and is at least 6 inches away from a monitor, speaker, or enclosed area. (Worked well for me, my reciever is on my desk in the open)

- Go to the mice option under control panel, and go to the logitech cordless tab when the window pops up. Experiment with the channels. Mine is set on channel 2 right now.

- Download the latest mouseware driver from Logitech

I hope that that helps, becuase i've got the same mouse, and I could not be more satisfied.

Do you recommend getting the Mouseware or something?? If I install those crappy drivers, they just disable teh mouse 4/5 buttons in certain games.

The mouseware drivers will allow you to change RF channels.

In the mouseware, I found that by selecting the options 'button 4/back' and 'button 5/forward', that I am able to map the keys to any game I play.

you should take it back and get an exchange.

MX700's don't lag.

Well, all mice do lag, even corded ones, but it's not detectible if it's set up correctly.

Move your reciever farther way from your monitor. Try a different channel. Make sure the batteries are good, might try some fresh AA's in it to see if they work right. If you can't get it right without lag, it might be defected.

A properly configured MX700 will NOT lag to a noticable level. You can do anything, move it around the desktop at high speeds, game all night, whatever, and it WON'T lag. Something's wrong if yours is.

The MX700 has the least lag of any wireless mouse out there. This was one of the key selling points of the thing.

Personally, I notice zero lag. My receiver is pretty much right beside my mousepad though.

i have finished minesweeper expert level in 105 seconds with a corded mouse, i have never been able to get anywhere near that with the MX700. i own 2 of them btw because of the cordless convenience. but i prefer the corded for things that require quick response.

Well I decided to give this MX Duo one more spin, so I hooked it back up, this time not using extenion cables, and there is no lag.......amazing

But there is just one more thing that's kind of bothering me, and that's the fact that this keyboard lags a little when I type....anyone else get that?

I think that's the thing with wireless keyboards, they always lag a little if you type really fast. (Like just poinding of the keys)

Glad to see you got it working...As far as the keyboard goes, I see a bit of lag, nothing really major, but I'm not the worlds fastest type (50-60 wpm).

maybe .00009 lag when i move the mouse like a maniac... but it doesn't bother me. keyboard definately no lag... and the batteries last forever in them

the only time i have mouse lag is when I haven't put the mouse back in the charger for over two days....
