This is one of those hit or miss Target B&M deals. I picked one up at the Target in St. Louis on St. Charles Rock Road tonite and they had 2 more left. Original retail was $99. Nice phone at a nice price.

No SKU on my clearance tag, but the model is TRU 548 and the UPC Code is 50633 10051 6. The phone and answering machine are white with blue trim, and the box is white with a black top and bottom.

Hope that helps!

Thanks that helps out a lot!

Where abouts (department/location) did you find this?

Found it in the Electronics department on an endcap facing the back wall, on the very bottom shelf. The funny thing is that there is one out of the box with no accessories/manual, etc and it's priced around $70 !!! Go figure....

Wow kdegarmo you got a really great deal!!!

Checked out two Target's in the Rowland Heights/La Habra (Southern CA) area and the price was $99.99. Apparently from the 3/3-3/9 the price was $89.99.

Does anyone know if this is a national thing? Pricing Error?, etc?

Has anyone else found this deal?

I can't wait to hear what Carmann has to say about it. I guess I will have to wait and be patient.

By the way, does anyone know when they make markdowns in the Electronics Department?

Thanks Much

There is a Uniden 2.4 GHz phone on clearance. Not sure of the model # though. I just happened to scan it today and it's coming up 55.94. I didn't check the original price but I think it's around 69.99.

Electronics area get's marked down on Monday's.

Guess this really was one of those hit or miss deals - my Targets never seem to have the really good deals that are posted around here, so I guess I finally got lucky.

The phone isn't the most attractive (that white with blue is a little annoying) but the sound quality of both the phone and answering machine are excellent, much better than the last Uniden that I had (which by the way died the morning after I bought the new one...)

I had one extra but sold it to a coworker at cost. I can check and see if they have any left, I might be out that way later today. S&H would probably run around $7-10 based on the weight.

Checked again for the Uniden today but no joy. The display model listed a regular price of $89.99, while the price sticker near the actual boxes listed $99.99. Go figure.

Anyhow, doesn't look like it is dropped yet, but I will keep my eye on it and let you'all know if I see it drop.

By the way I saw the Vtech 2468 2.4 Ghz phone with answering machine call waiting etc. for an advertised special price of $69.99. When I went to the Vtech page that seems to be their normal price so I don't know if it is such a hot deal but I thought I would share just in case anyone was interested. Here is a link to more info about this phone:

Vtech 2468 2.4Ghz cordless phone w/answering machine and caller id

I found 4 boxes of them where the extra handsets were being stored, none where it was priced.

While at the Vtech site saw some info about a 5.8GHz phone which is supposed to have increased phone quality. There is some sort of enhanced audio which automatically activates when interference or loss of signal is detected. As well as a manual boost. Anyhow, it may be worth waiting for....It will probably also drop the price of 2.4 GHz when it comes out....I guess we will have to wait and see.

5.8 GHz Vtech Due out Summer 2002

I noticed that one of the stores near me has both Uniden 2.4ghz models (with & without answering machine) on clearance and they're both tagged with the 55.94 price. The one with the answering machine should have been tagged at 69.xx since that's the price it's scanning at.

I'll give someone 10 over plus shipping for 1 or 2. I have one of the similar models and my step daughter has it surgically attached to her ear all the time. I origionally got it for the wife.

This Deal is Still Alive!!!!! Though YMMV

I picked one up today on my lunch break. At my local target in La Habra (Southern California). I paid $24.94 plus tax $26.87 out the door. The barcode is the same given above. On my receipt the sku # is 001 080070548 Uniden 548. I found mine surrounded by Uniden 546 phones, the same phone without the answering machine. The Uniden 546 are also on clearance for $19.94. But for 5 dollars more the one with the answering machine is sweet.

Good luck and happy hunting. BTW there are no more phones at the West Covina, Rowland Heights, and La Habra Target stores. A friend of mine also looking for the deal checked the two Fullerton stores, the La Mirada store, and the Target in Santa Fe Springs, he didn't find any at those locations. If anyone finds them or doesn't find them in So Cal. please post, I would like to pass the info onto him.

Thanks Much

Long Beach area the model without the answering machine is still scanning 30% off (55.94). I guess that's why they're still sitting there.

I bought one near me yesterday for $24 and change. There were about 20 of them still on the endcap. It was at the target near Claycomo MO. It's a really nice phone for a little more than the price of a replacement battery for my old one. The built in digital answering machine really reduces clutter on my kitchen countertop too! I have not tested to see if it interferes with my 802.11b wireless network yet. I know they are both on 2.4ghz. Has anyone else had any problem with interference?
