Just saw unbelievable abduction video on MSNBC. It's chilling. People supporting the abductee kept asking who they were, and they would not communicate with them at all. Put her in the van, and drove off as her supporters called out that they had her back and would come after her. Governor of Oregon is on right now complaining.Why has this not yet been covered by NYT or CNN? Usually that means the news outlets want to wait for more facts, but WaPo picked this up this morning and they generally have good judgment.
I feel that everyone needs to know this is going on right now.
They did shoot a guy in the head with a rubber bullet, who has a fractured skull, and just came out of facial reconstructive surgery. Not kidding.Well obviously, the shoot to kill order hasn't been authorized....yet.
Federal law enforcement agencies can't enforce city ordnance/state law because their jurisdiction falls under US Code. I'm sure there are mechanisms where state officials can request assistance to enforce state laws... So either the feds went rogue, or the state/city asked for 'mutual aid' assistance.
I asked one of the self-identified "libertarians" I know on FB if this smells like libertarianism. His reply, verbatim:

Even with badges, it was an unlawful arrest (no rights read, etc).
