I think anyone who imagines that there wouldn't have been a thousand times the number of riots, a thousand times the severity, with probably hundreds of thousands more participants complete with deaths, property destruction, random violence against any non-black person at hand... etc, if Romney had won, is really truly kidding themselves. (We may still see something like that when Zimmerman is acquitted)

What I saw in this video wasn't much of anything, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn in the end that a lot of the turmoil in this case was from people showing up who disagreed with the anti-Obama people, and some confrontation between the two groups breaking out.

Then again it is Mississippi and I wouldn't be too surprised if it's exactly as described, some racist white douche bags drinking and yelling, but by "riot" standards this seems outrageously tame.

I think that is completely irrational. The hole they are digging themselves can't be filled in with a candidate who "reaches out" to say, hispanics or blacks. Minorities pay attention to these kinds of things. And they happen very often.
I think the leadership of the Republican party and the right wing talking heads are misleading Republicans when they say not to worry the party will change when there are enough minorities and they will win them over.

There is the problem, making inroads with minority voters as Republicans is simply not possible; can't keep giving them free stuff, simply can't afford it, can't grant Amnesty to a bunch of lawbreakers, can't stop deporting, can't have open borders etc... if they could they would be called Democrats.
