Not sure if I should put this here or in networking, but here it goes:
Lately, we've been having some issues accessing certain websites (ex: google.com won't load, microsoft.com works fine).
All PCs have Kaspersky IS 2015, and nothing has been flagged in scans.
Router is set to not broadcast the SSID and is password secure. I don't think the neighbors are too tech savvy (elderly couples).
Today I found several "devices" on a PC running Win 8.1. All had names that were someone's emails, and all different (ie someone@hotmail.com). I panicked and deleted them, but in hindsight I should have done a screenshot.
Searches pointed to Windows Media Player sharing, but it wasn't setup on this PC, nor is network sharing.
I did chat with Comcast tech support this morning, and they had me connect the PC directly to the modem. I don't think this should have caused the issue, though.
I am considering getting a new router, but wonder if anyone has any thoughts as to what this could have been.
Thanks.
