Unlock iphone 4 when paying ETF

Hi all,

Quick question: I'm breaking contract with AT&T, dumping my iphone 4 and moving to Android. Now, will AT&T be obligated to unlock my iphone since I am out of contract now? What must I do - go into a store?

If that doesn't work, there are lots of permanent unlocking services out there. You can get it done for a few dollars on eBay. All you have to do is provide the IMEI number.

Out of curiosity, how much will I see the selling price of the iphone go up if I get it unlocked?

Normal iPhone 4 goes for maybe $220-230 on ebay it seems. Unlocked ones can go for $300.
Depends on condition and if you have the accessories, etc. You can click completed listings and see all of the sold items and for how much they sold for on ebay.

Of course eBay and paypal fees will take a bit of that. Best would be selling on craigslist or on a forum.
