unlocked cell phones?

hey I live in the US and I really liked the Motorola RIZR which is out in Japan and no the US so I was wondering if I could get a GSM RIZR from ebay and take it to cingular and have it work with their network. also will it be in English? lol

MOTORIZR is out in europe, asia, and soon Tmobile usa. Not Japan....they use a different system...not regular gsm.

You can buy an unlocked one from many mail order places, small phone shops, etc. Check ebay.

Yes an unlocked version will work on cingular/att.

Yep just pop in your sim and you are good to go. My SonyE phone was a Europe/Asia only model and works great on tmobile

You need to purchase the phone already unlocked. Cingular will be very reluctant to unlock a phone for you...they pretty much won't do it at all.

My friend has a Rizr.. its pretty cool i think you will like it. heavy for its size but its got a nice 2.0mp camera and it feels like its built extremely well.

Buy one from the UK because most of the language is the same. And you just pop in your sim card and go
