Unlocking T-Mobile Phone

Hi, I got a phone from somebody in the US that is locked to T-Mobile. I need to unlock it so I contacted T-Mobile for the code but they said they can only do this for T-Mobile customers. Can anybody help me with this? Otherwise, what is the next best way to get this unlocked?

What is your phone?
Cuz if its a Nokia I think theres websites which will give you the code you need for free.

Find someone here with a T-Mo account that's willing to help you... PM them your phone's IMEI number, they call in and request an unlock, ~2 weeks later they PM you back your phone's unlock code. I could try this for you, though I'm just a prepaid customer - but they provided an unlock code for me last year.

They usually always get you the unlock code in 24-48 hrs.
As a t-mobile customer you can ask for a code every 90 days.
I have 5 lines so I'm constantly asking for codes
Probably the best thing about t-mobile.
