I knew there was a very good reason I decided on S939 vs 754.
I'll be able to upgrade a piece at a time when the time comes,instead of having to replace MB & CPU & possibly memory(non-dual channel 754)
All will be translantable for some time to come.

With these new boards... I'll need DDR 400 for the 2Ghz HyperTransport? Is the PCI-E bus locked? What if I want to increase my HT? I am confused how this memory ratio stuff...

Just look at the Iwill dual sli mobo..

regarding soundstorm2, i see it like this:

intel has high definition audio(azalia)....

ati's new boards are going to have hi-def azalia audio....

via has hi-def audio(envy24)...

do you think nvidia is NOT going to have hi-def audio?

It will also be on 754. They've said all along that it will be for all 3 sockets.

Hmm Subhuman, you will still have to replace your Geforce 6800 card
which is pretty expensive piece since nforce4 will be PCI-Express only

P5AD2 ASUS board for Intel 925x has the stack cool.

It is just my speculation by looking at the ASUS NF4 board that it has it.

Very interesting would be if the NF4 Sata Raid Controller will support "TCQ".
As we all know the WD74 Raptors don't support "NCQ" because of the Marvell ATA-SATA Bridge Chip.
But they still support "TCQ" and this feature is only available with supported Controllers.

Let's hope that they give this information at launch.

I am guessing, most have seen this by now, but notice that little VIA chip in front of the x16 slot? thats your 8 channel HD-Audio right there, kinda funny if you ask me that nvidia doesnt think SS2 is worth the effort, yet they are gonna depend on VIA for it now.

Its unofficially Official, no SS(2) on NF4.

According to the article, more of a cost issue then anything, since the dolby license would be to expensive. Funny though, they paid for them before and the enthusiats at least seemed to enjoy it. But whatever, its thier dime.

that does suck if true, god lets just hurry up and get these boards out before more features evaporate

but the asus board doesn't show a Via chip, so maybe the MSI board with the Via chip just doesn't support SS2, if it actually does exist

Picture of Gigabyte nforce4 with A03 chip (of the ck804) should be the real one (the A02 or before are engineer sample that are on Asus and MSI mb, their Hyper-Transport up to 800mhz, while production A03 should be 1G.)

Reply to the Iwill posts a on page 2...The Iwill dual proc board costs 449 bucks alone on newegg...so unless you have more money than the prince of saudi arabia you aren't getting it.
