i know they did, and my card is the 1370, the original... creative doesn't seem to have drivers readily available... tho i should prolly scour the FTP site a bit.
But the unofficial page had lotsa stuff, ie, linux drivers for the card too.
You may be able to use the newer Creative drivers on your older Ensoniq. The Ensoniqs use DSP technology, which allows hardware upgrades via software (kind of like Winmodems that were upgradeable from 33.6 to 56.6). At my previous job, the IT folks upgraded the original Ensoniqs to the newer version just by upgrading drivers. Won't hurt to try.
I've lost the link. There were two sites devoted to the 1370 chipset. Use the PCI 64 drivers available from Creative. Btw, they do not work properly if it is the 1371 chipset. If you need Dos support, make sure you install the default drivers and then use the Creative PCI 64 drivers. The installation program will update the drivers even though they are Ensoniq origionals. The PCI 64 drivers do not include wavesets.
In my opinion, the 1370 chipset Ensoniq PCI is one of the best souncards ever made. Supreme compatibility.
Any of the newer Liniux builds has drivers built in.
The AudioPCI was indeed a very nice card. It had good sound quality at a very affordable price. I would still use it now if it weren't for it's inability to play multiple .wav files. Anyway, here's a link to creative's europe site which has all the lastest drivers including the much sought after 8meg waveset. http://www.europe.creative.com/support/drivers/product.asp?prod=34
