Asus P4B266
P4 1.6A - 133FSB(2.13G) 1.5V
SL668 Costa Rica 3147A682
Retail HSF W/ AS3
256Mb Crucial PC2100 2.6V W/Thermaltake Active Mem Cooler 5000rpm

Temp are pretty high according to MBM5, 23C Mobo/41C CPU @ Idle - 24C Mobo/48C CPU @ Load. And that's in a Antec SX830 tower with 4 80mm 2700rpm case fans.

CPU: Pentium 4 1.6A @ 2.4GHz (so far)
Voltage: 1.65v
Cooler: Intel stock cooler with Artic Silver
SL code: SL668
Fpo/Batch: 3201A024
Location: Costa Rica
Pack Date: 01/31/2002
Motherboard: ASUS P4B266
FSB: 150MHz
Memory: 2x 256MB PC2100 Crucial DDR

Amazing! Have only tried for a few hours but everything seems to be rockstable in a closed case. I cant below those low CPU temps. I'm used to AMD XP 1.6-1.8Ghz temps. Puh! . Due to the 3:4 memory issue on the P4B266 i normally run @ 16 x 132 Mhz with 3:4 mem settings to get maximum memory bandwidth (176Mhz). I wish that 3:4 would work 133Mhz and above!!!

My Samsung RDRAM goes to 133x4 with no problems, 140x4 give data corruption. Sandra memory scores are over 3300 @133.
Abit TH7II 1.8NW(Malay) @ 1.6v 133x4 = 2.4ghz verified with 12 hours of Prime Torture.

CPU: 1.6a@2240 (140x16)
FSB: 140
Voltage: 1.575
Temperature: around 32c (BIOS monitor)
Cooler: Stock, lapped (500-2000 grit) with AS2
SL code: dunno
Fpo/Batch: *shrugs*
Location: Malaysia (received yesterday from M-Wave
Pack Date: not sure
Motherboard: P4S333
Memory: Crucial 2100 DDR (2.5/3/3/6, but can run faster)
Power Supply: Enhance 300 watt
Video card: Radeon LE (hacked)

Something is holding this system back. At first, I could only get to 138 FSB, and not stable at that.
After 2 BIOS updates (first one worsened my OC) I can go as high as 142 FSB (highest I have tried)
but 3D Mark 2001 crashes, and any Sandra crashes the burn-in test at anything above backgroud settings.
This is with 1.6 voltage.

I do not think it is RAM, since the RAM will run at 2/2/2/5 at 140 FSB. I am leaning towards the
video card, but I will know for sure when I get my Radeon 8500 from gateway next week

Any ideas? Oh, and could y'all post what video cards you are using as well? really helps with the 3d Mark2001
scores, ya know

CPU: Malay 1.6A@2.24; 140FSB x 16 (mWave)
MB: P4B266(full)
RAM: Mushkin 512 2100 HiPerf (Turbo 1 Mode)
Cooler: AVC Sunflower/AS
Bios V: 1.65, Probe: 1.552 load; 1.6 normal
SB Live
Asus V7700
Enermax EG365P 350w
Temp: 40 - 43C

Prime95 continues to crash at this point, while the rest of the system remains stable. I am concerned about my 12V supply which drops to under 12v on the Probe and to about 12.05 on my DigDoc5 when the system goes under load either with Prime or Sandra. Runs consistently at 12.22 otherwise. I would like to push the memory some, but I'm not really sure how to do it. I did bump it up off the default V one setting when I was installing the board, but I haven't messed with it otherwise.

Update: Upped the bios voltage to 1.65 which is giving me between 1.584 and 1.6 on the Probe. Temp climbed to 43C but the fans are starting to kick on and temp is holding easily. Prime95 has been up for about 20 minutes, I'm heading to bed and I'll see if it's still up in the morning. As an FYI the system has been together since Wed, I was running at 2.133 with no problems, but I hadn't really tried to stress it.

Update: Ran Prime95 and the Sandra for 8 hours together, no problems. When I bump up the FSB to 145 Prime fails and eventually the system will crash, so it's staying at 140 for now. Everything else is fine, except my FLCS won't load any programs, but my Thrustmaster stuff has always been a pain.

CPU: 1.6a@2320 (16X145)

Cooler: Retail with generic heatsink grease
SL code: 668
Fpo/Batch: 3202A141

Pack Date: 02/07/02
Motherboard: MSI 845-ARU Bios version 3.2
FSB: 145
Memory: Crucial/Infineon 512 mb set to 266mhz bus speed

I think the 1.6a is pretty sweet chip, I agree with people who say it is the "new" Celeron 300a. First day I bought the chip and motherboard I cranked the bus to 133mhz. The second day I cranked the voltage up, set the bus for 145mhz, and ran Prime95 for 13 hours with no errors, also ran Serious Sam 2, and Medal of Honor for several hours after Prime95. All voltages except CPU are at default. Computer seems 100% stable to my liking. Im pretty sure this CPU can run a little faster, but I haven't bothered to try yet.

CPU: 1.6A@2.32; 145FSB x 16 (more to come)
SL code: SL668 Malay (newegg) yes newegg is shipping malay chips now
fpo/batch L146B223
pack date : 1/16/02

Cooler: Retail Heatsink/Fan with AS3
Bios V: 1.6
Visiontek Geforce 3
Antec 400watt PS
Temp: 40 - 42C

I am very pleased with this combo
I do wished the fsb/mem 3/4 multiplier worked above 132 fsb or that it had a 4/5 multiplier also
maybe with a future bios revision this will be posible
although my crucial pc2100 ram only appears to be 100% stable at 164mhz mem speed
i did get a mem bandwidth score of 2662/2654 with Sandra 2002 @132 mhz with the 3/4 multiplier on but it wasn't 100% stable
time for some PC2700 or PC3000 DDR i guess
thanks to all the folks at anandtech for the recommendations

so far best score with 3mark2001se with no video o/c is 8230

plus a new Radeon 8500 from Gateway

I'm upgrading from Epox 8k7a tbird 1.33, and Hercules 4500 (Kyro2).

cpu temp is stable at 115ºF at full load. case temp is 95ºF.

the bd7 has an option to change the dram voltage when you start changing the CPU voltage. if i decide to shoot for more from the CPU, how much do you think i should raise the dram voltage?
