over at genmay.net someone posted a script that let you refresh 16 pages at once..... almost everyone there won

 

People who used scripts and won multiple times IMHO do not deserve the right to post here at anandtech anymore.

Oh, by the way, the rules stated that only one prize per household/family.

I didn't bother playing, I'm just sick and tired watching greedy bastards grab all they can take with no regards to other people or ethics.

It make me sick to watch some of these greedy little trolls operate.

-if they do it on amount of refreshs...that wont work cause everyone refreshed multple times
-If they do it on amount of congradulation pages you got....that wont work because i accidently refreshed two winners and so did many others
-if they do it on how many winner pages submitted... that wont work because most sent the extras wins to family and friends with completely different information


The only way to do it is to use the "Only one per household" and unless your a dumbass and sent it two to the same address you wont get it... most people just sent it to friends houses.

The only true way is to say One entry per computer...which was not outlined in the rules.

My guess is "multple winners" is definied by IP. You could refresh all you want, but you weren't a multiple winner until you won more than once and filled out the winner form more than once. Just my guess, but if you won more than once from the same IP address, no matter where you sent it to, you will be disqualified. Again, that is just my guess.

It is their contest and they can do things however they want. If they want to disqualify you, they will. Like I said, I only won one (multiple attempts from a single IP) and I feel pretty good about my chances of getting the combo.

im guessing that almost 30-40% of the combos won today were by multple winners...so if they disqualify them..what happens to those 9000 or so keyboard combos?

hmm there would be some legal action if they claimed they gave away and were giving away 20,000 combos and ended up giving only 10,000

Well if you really want to take it to court, go ahead. Considering that the page and rules said "up to" 20000, you'd have a tough one to fight.
