I won in about 40 mins of one window refreshing...I actually hit F5 after I won and was lucky I stopped the "retry" button and cancelled it.
I was down to my last few tries, I had to "drop the kids off at the pool" really badly! LOL. I was afraid to try to get greedy and go for more. It'd be easy for them to look at IP addresses and void your hard earned win(s). One win per household/family is what the rules say...good deal for those that one.

actualy doing by ip would be really stupid.Alot of corporations use proxy and also alot of univecities use proxy, so all of the ip would be the same. Not a very good reason to disqualifi them because of the same ip #

You guys that took more than one should be ashamed of yourselves. You're the people that give hot dealers a bad name. :disgust::| I'd be even more disgusted if I see a FS/FT for this exact item 6-8 weeks from now.

I hope logitech tracks down IPs and shuts you guys down.

Re: the multiple winners, here's a post by docgiggs on FW that got a response from logitech on this:

Thank you for using Logitech's Electronic Technical Support. My name is Liz. The following information addresses your original question. You may wish to print this out and/or save this on your computer.

Yes, the rules do state only one prize per family, per household. We unfortunately cannot prevent prizes from going out if the user was able to use a different name and address for each mouse and keyboard to be sent out. We will be screening the winners for duplicate names and/or addresses, and duplicates will only receive one product. While it is unfortunate that a customer may receive more then one prize, we also understand some were participating in the contest on behalf of another. We would prefer that each customer only receive one prize, for that would open up more opportunities for other customers to win as well, but other than sorting through duplicates, there is not much we can do.
Congratulations on your winning and thank you for your honesty as well.

If you have additional technical questions regarding your product, please visit our web site at www.logitech.com and submit your question.

Thank you for your interest in Logitech.

Regards,
Liz

Description of Problem: I have a question about the giveaway promotion for these items from logitech. On 12/20/02 there was a promotion to give out 20,000 keyboard&mouse combonations. I visit a bunch of websites and forums that were discussing this and how people were winning multiple times but were sending what they had won extra to other addresses. So if they won once they sent it to themselves and if they won again they sent it to a completely different person.

My question is, was this okay to do? After seeing that and reading the rules I saw that there was never a limit to the number of entries just a limit of one prize per household/address. Reason being is after I won once and read about this I decided to give it a go again thinking it would be a good gift for someone else if I had managed to win again. But, I rather at least get the one I did win the first time. I would appreciate a definitive answer on this issue.

And confirmation e-mail!!!!

Tried for 50 mins the "slow way", nothing. Had to refresh twice using the 40 frame method and won.

I won one. I did F5 then R. I did this off and on for about a 2 hour period. After I won, I saw no reason to keep trying. I hope Logitech has software that timed how often you refreshed your page. If it turns out to be an inhuman amout, then I hope those script kiddes/adults(?) loose out. And if they get rejected I can just hear them now, "That's not fair, Logitech sucks." No, you do.

Congrats to those of us that won fairly. Sorry to those that didn't win. And to those that used a script or won mulitple times, may Santa screw you in the a@@.

Happy Holdiays!

I am mailing one tomorrow...

With 20,000 names, and a 37 cents stamp, do you think they print the names in 5 pt fonts?

I didn't win one even after hours with the Visual Basic proggie someone uploaded (it actually crashed due to overflow). It does seem to be alot harder to win in CA for some reason... Oh well, life goes on.

I did not win and saw the 20% rebate coupon. I thought I saved to my PC, but I screwed up and did not (only thing I have is a cookie that proves I visted on 12/20 around 3pm).

Does anyone have a copy of the form they can send me? I am going to buy a mouse that does not a rebate and it would be great to get a few extra bucks back.

Thanks.

I tried for about an hour manually then I tried one of those 40-per-page scripts for 2 hours and never got a think. Did anyone in NY win?

We got all 4 confirmations (me, mother, monther-in-law, brother).

I wonder how many hits they had that day? With the 20 & 40 page scripts running, they must've had a lot.

Once was enough for me, no need to get greedy even if they would be for "different" people in my household.
