I think I'm having some voltage issues. I have the CPU set at 1.525, but the board reports it at 1.568, as does CPU-Z. I'm running a Sempron 2500+ E6 rev @2.05 right now. Who is telling the truth?

I can't really check it right now as I have rma'd mine back. should be here early next week.

And I am rather new to this A64 stuff

But, I think you can only adjust the multiplier on a chip that supports cool and Quiet, and you can only bring it down. and not up it over the default multiplier.

As for the voltage, I would go with the safe bet and believe the board. also, while mine isn't an E6 revision, it runs at 2.2 gig perfectly fine at default voltage of 1.4 on a chaintech board. so I would turn down the voltage to 1.45 or so and see how it goes.

Alright, this is my first RAID mobo and i have some big probs.
First off, I do NOT want to run in RAID. I got the board cuz it was cheap and wanted to go A64. I have 1 SATA 120GB, 1 IDE 160GB, 1 DVD-Rom and a DVD Recorder. I've tried playing around the bios and can get the 2 HDs and just the recorder to show up. At the Windows install however, only the 120 SATA is available during setup and it is reported as a 20GB! I tried hitting F6 during setup and choosing the nvidia controller but got the same result. I have not messed with the jumpers on the mobo however. Can anyone help....please? Thanx

I would recommend only having the 1 drive connected during windows install. Once that's setup, it should just "work"
just make sure you are using the nVidia controller, and not the Promise controller (at the bottom), the nV controller is below the CPU socket. Plug the SATA boot drive in there, and you don't even need to press F6 during setup. I had this mobo for many months and I know for a fact that should work.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but I'm not sure if I'm having mobo problems.

Dxdiag is reporting 1024mb of ram.

MSinfo is reporting 2048 mb of ram.

T1.4 BIOS (newest i could get off of website)

I'm getting "out of memory/storage" errors cause it's trying to use 2048mb of ram when there is only 1024mb. Anyone else have this problem? Is it a BIOS/mobo problem or what?

Ok, first here are my computer specs.

AMD Athlon 2800+
Soltek SL-K8AN2E-GR
WD Caviar 200GB 7200RPM Hard Drive x 2
1GB Patriot PC3200 DDR 400 RAM
Sony DVD-RW Drive
GeForce 6800 128MB

I have followed the instructions in my motherboard manual...and still I have no luck.

I connected one hard drive to SATA1 and the other to SATA2.

Then in the BIOS I enabled IDE RAID, and specified the drives as SATA Primary Master RAID, and SATA Secondary Master RAID.

Then press F10 to save and exit.

When the computer rebooted it says something along the lines of "Press F10 to enter NVIDIA RAID UTILITY" So I press F10.

This is where the problem occurs. It doesn't enter the NVIDIA RAID UTILITY, instead it says Boot from CD:.......and then tells me to enter a CD to Boot.

Any suggestions?

Could anyone provide me with an e-mail/physical address where I could get information to RMA my K8AN2E-GR? It was DOA from Newegg (refurbished) but I didn't have a CPU to test it out with until well after the 14 day return period. Support seems to be relatively nonexistent in the US.

I'm in the process of creating a SATA RAID 1 (non-bootable) using the nF3. I have a drive with data on it (backed up elsewhere), and a clean drive. How do I designate the master drive? The BIOS tool gives me an option to rebuild the array, but I'm not sure how to tell it which is the master.

The only differentiation shown between the drives is the channel and index - one is 0, the other is 1. The SATA designations are SATA 1 and SATA 2. Would it be safe to assume that SATA 1 is Channel 0, and SATA 2 is Channel 2? If not, how do I tell which is which?

Thanks!
