The link in the OP goes to Unreal 2004 DVD edition.

It doesn't say it's the "Special Edition"

It doesn't mention the Logitech headset.

I think this is most likely just a DVD version of the standard edition, not the Aluminum cased Special Edition.

And if that is correct then the $20 gift voucher is not applicable.

Isn't this the DVD edition and not the SE? In other words, no headset, no shiny metal box? And the $20 voucher only seems to be good for the DVD SE edition. Wish Epic/Atari would wise up and just release another SE production.

non-SE DVD version. Considering cancelling because I wanted the headset.

They've changed or are changing the picture of the item & they deleted the headset out of the description. Ooops I'm wrong the headset is supposed to be included. I'm goning to cancel anyways.

Blah sorry guys. When I linked that it was the proper picture and description of the item that we all missed out on before.

Be sure to cancel off if you aren't interested in waiting on simply receiving a DVD issued game as opposed to the regular 400 disc CD version.

Dudes at Best Buy almost had me going with the regular edition.

I also preordered at brick and mortor EB Games and was told the SE's were all gone. So, I picked up the regular edition. Now, they've got this out. I wrote a nasty email to Atari about it. Everyone should who had the same nasty experience. The jerks.... Atari had nothing on their website about a dvd version last week, and you could only order the regular edition from them.

Yeah, I don't think atari realized they were going to sell as many copies of this game as they did... I have a feeling the marking idea for the plain DVD edition was created after the rioting for the SE DVD version at release dat.

I called EBgames @ 1-877-432-9675 and spoke to Sabrina. I told her about the e-mail that I received stating that I would not be receiving the special edition. She apologized and blamed atari for not fulfilling its promise to ship them more of the special editions. I told her that my friend received an e-mail containing a $20 coupon and that I would appreciate a coupon also. She apologized for any inconvenience and e-mailed me a $20 coupon.



I just did this guys and it works like a charm. Getting the DVD version of the game for $20 shipped is a smoking deal to me.
