I tried it a few years ago and it was no good? maybe if I had a glide card or some updates.

Original unreal should work with D3D cards too. I had it working with ATI Rage3D or whatnot (the one that tried to compete with nvidia TNT).

Any idea if they have modified the executables of the older games in this anthology to make them friendly to XP & modern CPUs like EA did with the C&C Collection? Just wondering...

Yep, all the versions in this anthology will work in XP.

Doesnt look like its going to work in Linux...yet at least.
