o yes. I'm really considering this.
Shake fist at anandtech! You're a moneysink!
I'm probably going to get flamed for this but I don't think that's true. It is just a "natural progression", but again I loved (and still do) UT2K3. What's wrong with it that 2K4 makes up for? I love Assault and I really like the new Onslaught mode but I wouldn't call these a "vast improvement". Download the demo and try for yourself. By the way, if you have gnutella client (file sharing software) try and get the demo that way if you still can't get in the FTP servers, it should be much faster (if you have the bandwidth). By the way, my copy got downloaded 1800 times over the past 4 days!
Does anyone know what UT2K4 improves as far as voice "stuff"? the fact that they're shipping a headset with the game would imply voice is a bigger part of gameplay, but I don't know the details and don't have a headset setup. I thought that you were supposed to be able to use voice commands to control the bots in single player mode (I hate the "tree" based interfaced, I'm not good enough of a player to try and direct bots and trying not to get fragged at the same time). Also, does online play support voice "chat"? It'd be way cool to be able to talk to your teammates in team games!
