Finalnight - how long did it take between you mailing the rebate form and receiving the coupon in your e-mail? I mailed mine off about a week after getting the game and have not received it yet.

I got my rebate code last friday. I mailed all the stuff in the Saturday after the game came out (whenever that was).

Email is from ebgames@ebgames.com

Subject is "Your EBgames.com Rebate Code"

UPDATE: I got a slip from ATARI today, saying my purchase was made outside of the qualifying period! I called them up and they said they have to bring the issue up with a supervisor! Never got my 20$ rebate either!!!!!!! BAH, ended up paying full price for UT2004! Instead of what could've been 10 bucks...

I also received the "rebate submission denied" slip from Atari, stating the purchase was made outside of the qualifying period. This doesn't seem fair. (edit - I did receive my $20 gift code from EB, but not the $10 rebate direct from Atari).

I know the issue was that the EB invoice date was one day behind the rebate period, but didn't an Epic/Atari affiliate reassure us that he had the power to push the date back? (I recall he posted either here or at Fatwallet, telling us not to worry).

I got mine like a month or so ago. BUT, I went to EB and got them to return/rebuy so I'd have it within the date. Of course I did mine B&amp;M, dunno about online. But it seems 100% retarded to not allow 1 day pre-orders the rebates/gift card especially when they WANT you to buy it early and they had rebate links.

FWIW, I phoned about my $10 rebate and the qualifying period (I, too, got rejected).

I didn't even need to ask about it - after I verified my name, address, etc., the CSR stated my rebate was being reprocessed and should be sent out in the next 4 weeks. I assume they've been inundated with calls about this issue and are now reprocessing claims for eligibility.

I thought it would be a hassle, etc., but was easy-squeezy...

I just checked my e-mail and I got this from ebgames

Hello,

I had a call yesterday about the same situation as you have with Atari,
and upon checking with my supervisor he told me that we have informed
Atari that they need to honor that rebate, and to send in [to them]
whatever it was that they sent you back, with an explanation saying
basically what I just told you, and that we advised you to send it back
in because they would honor it. Let me know if you have any further
questions or need the address to mail it in to, I'm sure I can find it
if needed.

Fortunately I kept my rebate rejection slip but I'm sure if you write a note they will be able to credit you if you just explain what happened ( I am going to send a copy of my receipt, you can get it off ebgames.com). BTW here is the address

Never saw my Atari rebate (though I just checked the page, and it's still in step 2: processing...WTF!!) OR the EBgames $20 voucher, and I preordered the game 2 weeks before it came out and I paid for the game THE day it was released. Excellent game, and a justified spending of $40 but I can't help feeling that I was definitely misled by EBgames' promotion.

Needless to say, that will be the last purchase I ever make at EBgames.
